Taste of Solomons 1 2015-16

This short tour divides its time between the island of Rennell and the area around Honiara on Guadalcanal. Rennell is the largest raised atoll in the world and has 43 species of breeding birds with 6 species being endemic, plus 11 species of bat including 1 endemic. Extra days can easily be added for further exploration of either area. Lake Tengano in the eastern part of Rennell was the former lagoon of the atoll and has many islands. Mt Austen on Gudalacanal is quite easy to cover along the roads and is well worth more than a single visit.

Tour Inclusions: This tour starts and ends in Australia.
